Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Last week, we completed our school review- an important opportunity to reflect on our progress, celebrate our achievements and identify the next steps for Launching Place Primary School.

The review confirmed many of the things that make Launch such a special school: strong relationships, committed staff, a genuine sense of community and students who are proud of their school. It also recognised the work undertaken to strengthen teaching and learning, establish consistent routines and expectations, and provide increasingly responsive support for our students.

I would like to thank our students, staff, families and School Council for contributing so openly and positively throughout the review. Our students represented Launch beautifully. They spoke thoughtfully about their learning, their relationships with staff and the ways they feel supported at school.

Our next Strategic Plan will not involve beginning again. Instead, we will continue embedding and refining the strong practices already in place. Our focus will be on increasing consistency and precision so that every student is known, appropriately challenged and provided with the support they need to experience success.

Hoop Time Success

Congratulations to our Year 5/6 boys’ All Stars Hoop Time team, who have progressed to the next level of competition - an excellent achievement!

Well done also to the many Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 teams who represented Launching Place Primary School in their respective competitions. We are proud of the teamwork, sportsmanship and enthusiasm demonstrated by all participating students. Thank you to the staff and family members who supported our teams and helped make these opportunities possible.

Upcoming Events

As we look ahead, we also have some wonderfully community-focused events approaching.

Bogan Bingo is being held this Saturday, 22 August, with funds raised supporting improvements to our sandpit area. Thank you to our P&F team and everyone who has contributed to organising what promises to be a very entertaining evening. We hope to see plenty of you embracing the theme!

Book Week is also just around the corner, with our Book Week Parade taking place on Friday, 28 August. This is always a joyful celebration of stories, imagination and reading, and we are looking forward to seeing the characters our students bring to life.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our students, staff and school. There is much to celebrate at Launch, and plenty to look forward to as we continue building on our strong foundations together.
