Celebrating 100 Days of School!
Foundation has been very busy celebrating 100 Days of School! To mark this special milestone, we dressed in bright colours and invited our families to join us in a range of fun 100-themed activities. We made colourful crowns, created silly 100-year-old glasses, designed gumball machines and drew portraits of what we might look like when we are 100 years old!
Our celebrations continued with a 100 Fitness Challenge, where we worked together to complete 100 different exercises. It was a fantastic way to get active, have fun and celebrate how much we have learnt and grown during our first 100 days of school.
The following week, we wrapped up our celebrations with our first Foundation excursion to the zoo! We learnt how to be animal explorers by looking up, down and all around as we discovered the amazing animals around us. The lions put on a particularly spectacular display, roaring loudly and walking along the glass. Every now and then, they stopped to look right at us!
It has been a wonderful celebration of our first 100 days, filled with learning, laughter, movement and plenty of memorable moments. We are so proud of our Foundation students and all they have achieved so far!
PE Program News
Year 3–6 School Athletics
We had a very successful Athletics Day for our Year 3–6 students on Friday 1 August. Students competed against their peers in discus, shot put, high jump, long jump, hurdles and the 100m sprint. Many students were rewarded for their efforts, receiving ribbons for finishing in the top three or for demonstrating our school values throughout the day.
Thank you to the many families who came along to support our students. It was fantastic to see so many people cheering on and encouraging our students! A big thank you also goes to the many staff members who helped make sure the day ran so smoothly.
A total of 53 students have now been selected to represent our school at the District Athletics Carnival on Friday 21 August at the Meadowglen Athletics Track in Epping. They will compete against students from other schools in our area. Please refer to the Compass event for payment, consent and further information.
Rugby Tag Gala Day
On Friday 8 August, a selected group of 44 students from Year 3–6 travelled to Mickleham to compete against other schools from the Craigieburn and Greenvale districts in a Tag Rugby Gala Day.
We had four teams competing: Year 3/4 Girls, Year 3/4 Boys, Year 5/6 Girls and Year 5/6 Boys.
Our focus for the day was to have fun, represent our school with pride and try our best while learning some new skills and competing against other schools. On reflection, the day was a huge success! Our students had a fantastic time and showed that, even though Tag Rugby was a new sport for many of them, they could learn new skills, work as a team and compete confidently against other schools.

Prep Basketball Clinic
Our Prep students have been doing a fantastic job of using our gym safely and learning a range of different skills in PE this year!
On Monday 20 July, our Prep students participated in a free Prep 2 Play Basketball Clinic with the Broadmeadows Basketball Association.
Students had a great time working with expert basketball coaches and learning the basic skills of basketball while having lots of fun!
