A Message from Parents & Friends
Hi everyone,
We hope this finds you well and enjoying the early autumn - although summer seems to be clinging on. Hopefully this lasts until 27th March for our Colour Explosion!!!
This term is busy with fundraising events - remember we are raising funds during 2026 to support the refurbishment of our classroom furniture for staff and students and all our wonderful teaching resources. Here’s what is happening for the rest of this term.
Harmony Week Bake Sale
Monday 23rd March sees us hosting a bake sale with contributions from across our school community.
You will have all been sent home with your eldest child a plate along with a bag and a label. Please consider baking something over the weekend that doesn't have cream (as a topping) or contains nuts. If you are planning on making individual items, there are individual bags at the office you can collect. But please ensure you label your items with ingredients.
Alternatively whole cakes or plates of individual items are welcome. Note if you bake a whole brownie and place it on the plate, we will sell it as a whole as there is no time for us separate on Monday morning.
Please drop your baked goods to the canteen between 8am and 8.30am on Monday 23rd June.
Details of the actual sale will be sent via Compass late next week.
We also need volunteers to help sell these items too on that morning. See the volunteering section below.
Special Lunch
Forms will be sent home shortly for these orders. This is an opportunity for a break from making lunchboxes!!!
Lunch options will include a sandwich, cookie and a juice box.
Lunch will be on Thursday 26th March.
Hot Cross Bun Drive
We have teamed up with Bakers Delight to run this year's Hot Cross Bun Drive. Forms have been sent home with the eldest child. Please ensure that you return these forms by Monday 23rd March. No late orders can be accepted. Delivery will be Tuesday 31st March due to Bakers Delight being busy on the Wednesday as scheduled.
Remember to ask family and friends if they wish to buy a packet - the more orders the better!!!!
Easter Raffle
Raffle tickets have been sent home, again with the eldest child (this is due to it being easier to sort and nothing to do with not trusting the siblings we promise)!
There are 5 prizes to be won including lots of lollies and chocolates!!!! Well it wouldn't be Easter without it?!
More tickets are available if you need them.
Colour Run
Thank you to everyone who has been fundraising - you’re a super bunch of people!
We’re currently over the $15,000 mark which is phenomenal, meaning we’re on track to hit our target fo $22,000.
We have some exciting news to share about this event. Non-school siblings and parents, grandparents etc are now able to run with the children. There will be a cost of $10 per person payable on the day at the booth located on the oval.
A full set of details about the event will be sent home next week. However those who are new to colour explosions may wish to note that it’s best to wear white and something old! It does get messy and wet, but the laughs and smiles are so worth it!!!!

How can you help?
Our events and fundraising doesn’t happen by magic. There are a dedicated set of parents who plan and discuss and generally have an all round laugh at our parents & friends meetings.

Alternatively, if you cannot attend a meeting (or you simply don’t wish to, which is totally fine), but if you want to be part of an event, events or even selling Friday treats, then you can view what volunteering opportunities there are for the term.
We have an online portal that allows you to sign up for yourself and/ or a friend. But please note that you MUST have a working with childrens check to volunteer. This portal is constantly updated so it’s good to save this somewhere and check frequently.
