Welcome to week five....
Hello everyone,
It’s been wonderful to see some sunshine this week! Many families enjoyed the long weekend, and although it’s been a short week, we've still packed in plenty of activities over the three days.
On Monday, our staff focused on finalising assessment materials and preparing student reports as we get ready for the end-of-year report cycle.
On Thursday, three of our lower junior school classes went on an excursion to the Coal Creek Museum. The students took part in a Victorian-style school lesson in the old schoolhouse, where they compared school life from the 1890s to today. They also explored the General Store, where they had the chance to “play shop” and use the vintage cash register. Many of the students shared that it was a “fun day!”
Looking a head to next week, our senior school students will participate in the Lifesaving Education Program at the beach. This program is designed to help students build essential water safety skills, particularly as many families spend time at the beach or near inland waterways like rivers and lakes during the holidays. The open-water environments can be unpredictable and at times hazardous, so the focus of this program will be on developing water safety knowledge, swimming skills, and building confidence to apply these skills in various open-water settings.
Have a lovely weekend.
