Kiwilele Ukelele Festival:

We recently hosted the West Auckland Schools Kiwilele Ukelele Festival at Western Heights. It was an awesome occasion, and our children absolutely shone.

Our Ukulele group has 120 children, and every one of them loved every minute of it. The joy on their faces and the enthusiasm in their playing were wonderful to see. In addition, our children stood out for their creativity and improvisation—for example, playing their ukeleles like drums.

Our group made up well more than half the total number of performers—our neighbouring school, for example, had only 12 in their group.
