2025 Year 7 Orientation Day

On Tuesday this week, we welcomed our incoming Year 7 students for the 2025 Orientation Day. This important event provided a valuable opportunity for students, parents, and staff to establish connections and set the foundation for a successful transition into life at St Patrick's College.

Throughout the day, students participated in a range of activities designed to introduce them to the College's curriculum, routines, and culture. These sessions not only helped our new students feel more comfortable in their new environment but also highlighted the College's commitment to supporting each boy's individual journey.

The day concluded with a highly successful information session, attended by both incoming Year 7 students and their parents. A particular highlight of this session was the inspiring presentations delivered by our current students, who shared their personal experiences and reflections on life at the College. Their stories were a wonderful testament to the welcoming and supportive community we strive to create.

At St Patrick's College, we believe that establishing strong relationships is at the core of educational success. Orientation Day demonstrated the importance of our partnership with parents and families in ensuring every boy is set up for success as he embarks on this new chapter of his education. Enhancing boys’ understanding of gendered violence and gender stereotyping

St Patrick's College was recently featured in an ABC News article highlighting the important work we are doing with our Year 8 students in gender education. The report highlighted the important work we are undertaking at the College to educate boys about gender equality and raise awareness around gender stereotyping. 

The ABC reported on the ways in which we are addressing critical issues like toxic masculinity and fostering an environment where students can reflect on their values, relationships, and roles in promoting respect and equality.

The article highlights our dedication as a school to shaping well-rounded individuals who embody empathy, inclusivity, and mutual respect. By addressing these important topics, we are demonstrating how we equip our students with the knowledge and skills to challenge harmful stereotypes, foster healthier relationships, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
