Pathways

During Week 5 of Term 3, our Year 10 VM students took part in a week of Work Experience. When they returned to school, they reflected on their experiences. 

Here are some of their responses to the questions they were asked.

What was the most rewarding aspect of your work experience?

Seeing the car run smoothly after working hard on fixing the car itself and just seeing the customer happy and glad. It made myself feel accomplished and satisfied with my work

What did you learn about yourself?


I learnt that if I’m shown something I’m able to do it myself with no struggles, this will help me later on in my career as a sparkie

Would you recommend this work experience to others? Why/Why not?

For me it was boring as I don’t see myself becoming a mechanic in the future, overall, it was decent I got to learn a lot of new things I did not think I would learn or be able to gain the knowledge of, but if someone is looking to be a desired mechanic I would recommend this to them.

Helping the kids understand and complete their work, seeing them happy.
