Acting Principal's Update

Congratulations Penny Smith

King's College would like to say congratulations and welcome home to our Class of 2013 student, Penny Smith. 

We congratulate Penny on her amazing achievement at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Penny not only represented Australia as an elite athlete and Olympian, but also earned a bronze medal in the Women's Trap Shooting.

Penny, we are so proud of you and you are an inspiration to the King's Clay Target Shooting Team, especially because you are one of our own. We look forward to seeing your exciting path ahead.

Penny was also in attendance at the Southwest Zone Clay Target Shooting Competition, which King's College students competed in this week. You can read about this here.

Founders' Day

Last Thursday, we held our annual Founders' Day celebration. The day included taking a whole school photo, as well as an afternoon of games and activites for all students. During Assembly, we heard from Camilla McLeod who shared a message on the history of the College.

We also honoured Lyndell Tucker for her many years of teaching and her remarkable contribution as Head of Junior School and a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. We are blessed to still have Lyndell here one day a week in Year 1, and it is with kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication, she continues to inspire our community. Lyndell received a very long, enthusiastic and well deserved standing ovation from staff and students. It was lovely to celebrate the day with her family present.

PTFA Trivia Night

King's College PTFA is holding a Trivia Night on Saturday 24th August 7PM at the Salvation Army Warrnambool.

The theme of the night is "Careers". Decorate your table and come dressed up in your table's chosen career. After booking your table, please email ptfa@kings.vic.edu.au with your choice of career.

$80 per table (8 people per table - $10pp, one person from each team to book table). Please note Trybooking charges an additional $4 fee per table.
