Southwest Zone Clay Target Shooting

It was a great effort by all students who participated in the Southwest Zone Clay Target Shooting Competition this week. For some of the students it was their first major competition and a great opportunity to experience some serious competition, with the overall winner shooting 28 out of his 30 shots.

The standout performer for the King’s College team was Esther W (Year 10) who took 2nd place in the Senior girls competition. After the first two rounds, she was tied with two other girls shooting on 15 out of 20 shots, then going on to win a shoot off to take 2nd place outright.

It was exciting to have Penny Smith presenting the medals, and Esther had the opportunity to catch up with the recent bronze medal winner from the Paris Olympic Games.

Division Lawn Bowls

Our team of six students had a strong showing at the Division Lawn Bowls competition on August 9th, winning all our games with impressive skill and determination. While we fell just short of advancing to the next round due to a count back, we can be proud of our performance on the day. The close result highlights the competitiveness of the event.

Year 4 Field Hockey

Our Year 4 students had the exciting opportunity to play on the newly surfaced Warrnambool Hockey field, and what an experience it was! The world-class surface provided the perfect setting for them to learn new skills and enjoy the game. Whether they were mastering passes or practicing their dribbling, the students embraced every moment. The enthusiasm and energy on the field were fantastic to see, and it's clear that playing on such a quality surface added an extra level of excitement to their Hockey sessions.
