Sustainability

Last week for WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY Junior Mason listened to a story about cleaning up plastic waste from the ocean. They talked about ways they could be more responsible for their waste. Students mentioned Nude Food lunches to reduce waste, recycling waste, picking up rubbish in the yard and taking your own plastic waste home. They made felt cutout characters to display their important signs. June the 8th was also WORLD OCEANS DAY. David Attenborough’s latest documentary entitled Ocean showcases the wonderful marine life. He also highlights the problems we face with pollution and overfishing and ways countries are trying to improve the seabed to encourage regeneration and improve the variety of sea creatures, seaweed, and coral.

MOVING ON AND UP PROGRAM
