Recurring notices

Mobile Phones Please do not use your mobile phone in front of the students. If you need to check your emails, sit aside from the students. Class time should be focussed on learning.

Yard duty Please ensure you always have the latest yard duty timetable visible in your classroom and that you are familiar with your duty expectations.

Yellow Vests and Bum BagsPlease wear your yellow vests and bum bags for PG duty. It is important that you are visible. If you do not have enough, please ask reception staff and they will give you additional vests.

Active supervision

Roam – move continuously through your allocated area

Build rapport with students- engage them with games

Anticipate behaviours before they escalate- read the Playground Support Document

Phones away, please –  full attention on students at all times

All students must be supervised by a staff member at all times. If a student from your class is taking a movement break and you would like another staff member who is already outside to supervise, please ensure you communicate with them directly.

ALWAYS Check with staff prior to letting a student in an area such as the playground

Seesaw

Please remember to upload photos of students completing all the wonderful activities in the class. The minimum requirement is one photo per student per week. This is important in helping families see the wonderful learning and care you provide each day. Regular updates offer reassurance and help build strong, trusting relationships between families and staff.

AAC Devices

Please ensure your classroom AAC device is charged each day. One member of the classroom staff must take the AAC device with them while on yard duty. We will provide gentle reminders to staff to retrieve it, if it is accidentally left in the classroom.

We will continue to help and model this during check-ins, class visits to support you and increase your confidence on using AAC.

Emails

Please ensure you read your emails before students arrive and after students leave at a minimum to ensure you are up to date.

Welcome to week 7!

For any queries regarding staffing replacements due to staff absences, please speak with your Sub-School Leader or a member of PCT.

Please remember to adhere to the roster for the end-of-day pack-up of Playground 2, which was sent out at the beginning of the term.

If you are on sandpit duty, please ensure all equipment is packed away at the end of outside play. Please also remind any agency staff supervising the sandpit to do this.

If for any reason you are unable to pack the equipment away, please ask another staff member for assistance. As students may access the playground throughout the day for regulation, it is important that equipment or other objects that could be thrown are not left out.

Term 3, week 7

Hi all,

A huge thank you to Jen for organising the All in Arial experience. A wonderful & new activity for our young people to experience.

If you have any parent preferences forms, please do hand them in to me. These will help form class lists for 2027.

Thank you :-)

Term 3 Week 7

Hi everyone,

Room 23 students will have their Morrisby Job Profile interviews on Wednesday. A careers counsellor will guide them through a series of questions & discussion points to ascertain suitable & viable employment pathways. Following this, Room 23 students will attend the Real Industry Job Interviews on 8.9.26, honing their interview skills.

Other excursions include: All in Arial 1.9, VEC voting incursion 2.9, Kangan TAFE 9.9.

SYN FM Continues. Great to hear our young adults on the Melbourne airwaves, even if they were discussing the history of the Collingwood Football Club. Thank you Angela & the R26 & 27 teams for providing our learners with this opportunity.

As always, thanks for your support.
