What's Happening in Italian

What a wonderful term of learning it has been for all our students during Italian Specialist Classes. We have been busily preparing for our SPARK night where we will be showcasing our Italian themed Art work from all students.
In addition to this:
Our Prep students have continued to learn the Italian alphabet and the sounds these letters make. Learning to count in Italian and use this knowledge to express how old they are has also been a focus.
Our Year 1/2 students have been focusing on asking and answering simple questions for example, to express emotions and how they are feeling.
Our Year 3/4 students have learnt different describing words that can be used to describe the weather. This has been both orally and written form.
They have learnt basic grammatical rules and sentence structure to assist them with formulating sentences.
Our Year 5/6 students expressing what is happening, how they are feeling, what is sore/injured and reasons why using the word ‘because’ (perche’)
has been a focus. This has included expressing themselves orally using greater detail. From detailed conversations to then transferring this knowledge to writing using the same level of detail in Italian. They have learnt grammatical rules and extended vocabulary to assist them.
