DIAMOND VALLEY DISTRICT ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Gallery Image

Huge congratulations to the 55 talented students from Greenhills PS who proudly represented our school at the Diamond Valley District Athletics Carnival at Meadowglen International Athletics Stadium on Tuesday 18th August.

Our Greenhills Athletics Team achieved a fantastic result, finishing 6th overall out of 10 schools, with just 7 points separating us from 3rd place! What an incredible effort from our team!

While the results were certainly something to celebrate, it was the effort, teamwork and sporting spirit shown throughout the day that made us especially proud. Our students encouraged and supported one another, celebrated each other’s successes, gave their very best in every event and proudly demonstrated our GREAT values.

We also wish all students who have qualified for the Nillumbik Division Athletics Carnival the very best of luck as they take the next step in their athletics journey. We’ll be cheering you on!

FOOTY DAY - FRIDAY 11th SEPTEMBER

Gallery Image

As shared recently, Isabella A (6RM) and Grace P (6SM) have both achieved the incredible honour of being selected in Team Vic squads, with Isabella selected for Australian Football and Grace for Basketball.

Representing Team Vic is a fantastic achievement and comes with significant costs for families, as participation is self-funded. Expenses can reach several thousand dollars and include host state and administrative levies, uniforms, training and team equipment, transport, accommodation and meals.

To help support Isabella and Grace and their families with their fundraising, we will be holding our annual Footy Day on Friday 11th September.

For a gold coin donation, students are invited to come dressed in their favourite team colours. Throughout the day, our Year 6 Leaders will run a range of fun footy rotations for students to enjoy.

We look forward to seeing our school community getting behind Isabella and Grace and helping celebrate their fantastic achievements!

Running for Red Nose ❤️

Hi Greenhills Community,

This August, I’m running at least 3km every day to raise money for Red Nose, in honour of a close friend’s daughter, Izzy.

Every Thursday at lunchtime, I’ll be running laps of the Tiger Turf, and students are welcome to join me for as many laps as they like.

Red Nose Day is Thursday 27 August. Students are invited to wear red, bring a gold coin donation and join me for my final run at school.

Thank you kindly for your support,

Mr Hick.
