CHRISTMAS PRAYER
Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. The name Christmas comes from the Mass of Christ. Accordingly, Christmas is a holy day of obligation, on which the Church calls us to celebrate Mass. The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph provide us with a model to live by. Families may like to pray the prayer below, together on Christmas Day:
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus
We pray for the strength and courage
To share the love that we feel today, tomorrow and each day
With those who need it most
Helping to build Your kingdom here on earth.
Amen

CHRISTMAS NATIVITY PERFORMANCE
On Thursday 7th December, our St John’s School Choir in conjunction with the Year 2s presented the Nativity Story. It was wonderful to see this special event brought to life in such a joyful and meaningful way. For families who were unable to attend, the link below will take you to our Vimeo channel where you can watch the performance. Thanks to all the staff who worked so hard to prepare the costumes and the backdrops, thanks also to the Year 2 teachers for preparing their students and to Ms Carla Romeo for preparing the choir. Below are some pictures of the choir and the Year 2 performers in their outfits.
