Principal Report

Dear families,

I would like to start by thanking you all for a great year at Rolling Hills Primary School. We really do have the best kids....and that starts with your great parenting.. 

This week we farewell our grade 6 students. I wish them all the best with their next adventure. I am very grateful to have been involved in their education so far. 

I am also grateful to everyone who attended and made their graduation night special for them at Chirnside Country Club. The grade 56 teachers worked together to deliver a wonderful night for them, and their parents. It was amazing to hear the kind words each child shared about a peer. At assembly tomorrow there will be a chance to say our last goodbyes.

I also want to share a farewell to Mrs Creed who will be leaving us in 2026 to take up a role as a Disability Inclusion Facilitator. Mrs. Creed's passion for children with a disability has been clear for everyone to see. On behalf of staff, families and students she has advocated for.....THANK YOU! I am sure with two children here at school we will see plenty of you Mrs. Creed. 

I would also like to welcome back Mrs. Morrissey to the school in 2026. Mrs. Morrissey will join grade 56 and will share class 56O with Mrs. Oakley. Congratulations.

We will also be welcoming Mrs. Blake to grade 1. Mrs. Blake with join 1LB with Mrs. Layton. Congratulations to Mrs. Blake. 

Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to all parents for their contributions to Parent & Friends this year. 

P&F have raised a whopping $30,249.91!!!

We know it is not a solo effort, so thank you to the committee in 2025. Thank you to the P&F president Tanya Windscheffel for her tireless work, as well as those go to people that make the committee work so well. 

We have started to look at prosepctive sites around the school for new play equipment, and hope to have quotes and options ready in the new year for parent and student consultation. 

Have a great Christmas break. Stay safe and have fun. We will see you in 2026 on Wednesday 28th January.
