What an incredible start to the 2024 school year in our new Performing Arts Centre. There is much to be proud of as we head towards the Easter Holidays: Keniry can rest easy knowing they took home the House Theatre Sports trophy, Drama Club is booming with enthusiasm and numbers, our VCE Theatre Studies students have been rehearsing diligently on their class play, and tickets for our school production are on sale. Thank you to each and every creative who walks through the doors of the PAC and recognises how lucky we are to have this fantastic resource; we can’t wait to see it come to life with multiple performances in Term 2. You have not one but TWO chances to come and enjoy theatre and drama in the PAC Theatre next term.
Students from SPC and Loreto have been rehearsing and designing for this compilation of some of Poe’s best gothic stories in what is set to be an enthralling piece of theatre. As part of Unit 3 Theatre Studies, students take responsibility for directing, acting, and designing all aspects of the production. There are five scenes that will be performed including The Tell-Tale Heart and The Fall of the House of Usher, also featuring Poe’s acclaimed poem The Raven.
This play will be performed on Wednesday, 24 April at 7pm. While tickets are free, we ask that you please RSVP and select your ticket so we can be certain of numbers: https://www.trybooking.com/CPIZP
*Shout out to Year 10 student Benny Eckel for the Poe artwork design

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s award-winning smash hit musical premiered on Broadway in 2015 and has since been seen on stages around the globe! Based on the hilarious hit movie, this musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band – sensationally performed by our talented actors with roof-raising energy!
