Reminder: Art Show and Colour Run

A reminder of two very exciting upcoming events, the 2026 Art Show Opening on Friday 13th March and the Colour Run on Friday 20th March. Both events are major highlights of the school calendar, with the Art Show being a key social occasion for parents/carers, and the Colour Run being enormous fun for students, as well as for the volunteers on the day!

Details of both events can be found in this newsletter, on Compass and posted around the school. Sincere and enthusiastic thanks to the convenors and volunteer committees of both of these events.

PFA Annual General Meeting

Wednesday evening saw the 2026 PFA Annual General Meeting, with details to be found on the PFA page of this newsletter.

Congratulations and thank you to our new PFA Executive team of Andre (President), Ebony (Secretary) and Beij (Treasurer). We greatly appreciate these brilliant volunteers agreeing to do these important roles and look forward to working with our wonderful PFA throughout the year!

Many thanks also to our outgoing PFA Executive Members, Lindsay and David. Both of these gentlemen selflessly put their hands up for the President & Secretary roles two years ago, when it seemed that we may not be able to find anyone to fill the roles. This would have meant that we would not have been able to have a formally constituted PFA for the past two years, which have been two of the strongest fundraising years in recent RMPS history.

On behalf of the school community, thank you Lindsay and David for your hard work and dedication for our school.

School Council Election - Ballot

As per my recent email update, at the close of the nominations period of the School Council election, we had five nominations for the three available parent members of School Council. Subsequently, one nominee has withdrawn their nomination, meaning we will be proceeding to a ballot to decide the three successfully elected School Council members for 2026.

The candidates have been placed into random order, as they will appear on the ballot page:

Wen Li Wong

Karla Bennett

Sharad Ladkat

Avery Poole

Our sincere thanks to all candidates for being willing to take on this important role in 2026.

By Tuesday next week, all families will receive an envelope containing a ballot paper for each family. This will be distributed via student schoolbags to the eldest student of each family throughout the school. For families with shared custody or multiple households, a separate envelope will be sent home for each parent.

The envelope will contain the ballot paper, a short statement written by each candidate, and two empty envelopes. Parents/carers will vote for their preferred three candidates and place their vote inside one of the enclosed envelopes. Votes can then be placed in the ballot box at reception (or in the school mailbox after hours). Parents/carers wishing to post their vote can do so using the second provided envelope.

Votes will not be accepted after 4pm on Tuesday 10th of March, after which counting and declaration of the poll will occur. The results of the poll will be sent to the community via email. Please note the amended date of the poll announcement in the table below, due to the availabilty of key staff to perform the tallying role.
