📚CURRICULUM EVENING - Tonight

Gallery Image

Today we invite all families to join our Curriculum Evening, which will be held online to better accommodate busy household schedules.

During this session, teachers will outline key information about the year ahead, including classroom routines, expectations and daily structures that support a smooth and successful learning environment.

They will also provide an overview of the core learning and teaching foci for the term, curriculum priorities across subject areas, assessment approaches, and ways families can support learning at home.

This is a valuable opportunity to gain insight into your child’s learning program and strengthen the home–school partnership.

We look forward to your participation.

Our swimmers represented the school with excellent sportsmanship, encouraging one another and giving their very best in each event. A special mention must go to our younger swimmers who competed in older age brackets so that we could enter a full team — a wonderful example of courage, flexibility and team-first spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to Jess Andrewatha for assisting with coordination on the day; your support was greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Mila, Leo, Hamish and Lola, who have progressed to the Divisional Competition on Wednesday, March 6.  We wish them all the very best as they continue to represent our school. 🌟

☀️SUNSMART NEWS -Sunscreen Stations Installed

I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to David Gelman for generously installing new

sunscreen stations in our yard (undercroft area). This thoughtful contribution will support our ongoing commitment to student health and wellbeing.

Regular use of sunscreen, along with hats, helps reduce the risk of sunburn and long-term skin damage.  By making sunscreen easily accessible in our playground areas, we are encouraging positive sun-safe habits that will benefit our students now and into the future.

Thank you, David, for helping us create a safer environment for all children.

We’re confident Compass will make staying connected with school simpler and more streamlined, and we thank you for your support as we make this exciting change.

Toys at School

To support a safe and focused school environment, we ask that students not bring toys or sports equipment to school. The only exception is downballs, which may be used at appropriate times and in designated areas.

Exceptions

Students may bring an item for:

  • Show and Tell
  • A writing stimulus (“writing seed”)

This guideline helps us maintain a safe, focused and inclusive school environment. Toys and sports equipment can cause accidental injuries in busy playground areas and may interrupt valuable learning time. Personal items sometimes lead to disagreements or exclusion between students, and the school cannot take responsibility for items that are lost or damaged.  Additionally, not all students have access to the same toys or equipment, and limiting these items helps promote fairness and inclusion for everyone.

We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe, inclusive and focused learning environment for all students.
