Dear families,
2026 Williamstown Primary Art Show – This Weekend
The excitement is building as we prepare for one of the highlights of our school calendar, the 2026 Williamstown Primary Art Show!
A tremendous amount of work has gone into bringing this event together. I would like to acknowledge the amazing work undertaken by our Art Teacher, Marcia and our talented Willy Kids, whose creativity, imagination and artistic talents have brought this year's Art Show to life. The artwork on display is a wonderful celebration of our students' creativity and the school's Arts program.
A special thank you to Julia and the Friends of Willy team for their incredible efforts in coordinating and preparing this wonderful community event. And a huge thank you to the many parent volunteers who have generously given their time and energy to help make it possible. Your hard work and commitment to our school are greatly appreciated.
Also a big shout out to Mike Holdsworth and his maintenance team for their support.
While ticket sales for Friday evening's adults-only cocktail event have now closed, the Art Show will be open to the entire school community and general public on Sunday from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Entry via a gold coin donation
Sunday promises to be a fantastic afternoon, with our school bands and choir performing throughout the day, along with a BBQ serving up a traditional sausage sizzle.
We encourage all families, grandparents, friends and members of the wider Williamstown community to come along, enjoy the incredible artwork, support our young artists and celebrate everything that makes our school community so special.
Don’t forget to get your bids in for the classroom art pieces;

Welcoming Our 2027 Preps – Transition Begins.
It has been wonderful to welcome our 2027 Prep students and families to Williamstown Primary this week as they begin their exciting journey towards becoming our newest Willy Kids!
Our transition program commenced on Tuesday with a special Story Time session, followed by today's first in-class transition experience. These sessions provide a fantastic opportunity for our future Preps to become familiar with their new school environment, meet staff, begin building friendships and develop confidence ahead of starting school next year.
It has been lovely to see the excitement and enthusiasm of our newest Willy Kids as they take their first steps into school life.
We look forward to continuing our transition program over the coming weeks and supporting our 2027 Preps and their families as they prepare for this important milestone.
Grade 5/6 Camp – Anglesea Coastal Forest Lodge
Next week, our Grade 5/6 students will head off on their much-anticipated school camp to Anglesea Coastal Forest Lodge.
School camps are always a highlight of the year, providing students with wonderful opportunities to build independence, strengthen friendships, develop resilience and challenge themselves through a range of new experiences and outdoor activities.
We wish all our Grade 5/6 students and accompanying staff a fantastic time away and look forward to hearing about their adventures when they return.
A big thank you to our staff for the considerable planning and preparation that goes into making these valuable experiences possible for our Willy Kids.
Warm regards,
Mat Montebello
