PRIDE Art Show 2026
Calling all budding artists! Create a piece of art that represents diversity and PRIDE in the Middle School Campus and enter it in our 2026 PRIDE Art Show. Art is whatever you want it to be - painting, sculpture, fashion design - the opportunities are endless! Pieces are due to the library on Monday 29 June. We can’t wait to see what our talented Middle School students create.
House Pantomime 2026
It’s nearly that time of year again: House Panto Time! Writing will be on Tuesdays at first break until the end of term. This is a great chance to meet new people in your House, and flex your creative writing muscles!
This year’s theme is Pixar Movies with a Friends’ School twist:
Mather: Cars
Unwin: The Incredibles
Ransome: Toy Story
Hodgkin: Inside Out
House Table Tennis is Back!
Mather came away victorious over Hodgkin last week; Unwin took away the honours this week against Ransome!
The final will be on Tuesdays at second break, and the more players that show up for a House, the more likely they are to win! See you on Tuesday - bring your House pride!

Giving Day and Shorts Day - Wednesday 17 June
On Wednesday 17 June, we will take part in our annual Student Giving Day. This year, we are raising funds to help provide a scholarship for refugees or recent immigrant students to attend The Friends' School. To support this initiative, students are invited to wear free dress and bring a gold coin donation.
Throughout the day, students will hear stories from refugees and migrants, including members of our own school community. These stories will highlight both the challenges people have faced and the strengths they bring to our community. Along with their donation, students are encouraged to bring open hearts and listening ears as we learn from the experiences of others.
The Middle School will also be participating in Shorts Day for the Speak Up! Stay ChatTY campaign. Shorts Day raises awareness of mental health and encourages us to check in with one another, speak openly, and seek support when needed.
Year 7 and 8 students are encouraged to wear shorts as part of their free dress on the day. There will also be a prize for the best shorts in each year level.
