The district Athletics is coming up this term (Tuesday Sept 3rd), so myself and the staff will start training sessions during week 4.

I will be inviting all those athletes who finished in the top 3 or 4 in our house carnival to attend and also anyone that was away for the carnival can also attend to record a time or distance so that I can then organise the final team.

Training will start on Wednesday 7th August and continue for 4 weeks.

Training will be: -

Wednesday morning 7.45 - 8.30am  - Throwing events  (At school)

Friday mornings 7.45 - 8.30am - Triple Jump, Long Jump, Track events (Dolomore)

Friday Lunchtimes - 1.25 - 1.55pm high jump in the hall

I have attached a plan of the sessions below.

Please also note the following information: -

a) The team will be confirmed and finalised after the 3rd week of training, including relay teams

b) Only 1 student per event is allowed except for 800m and 1500m (2 runners) , so we will have 1 student for each event and an emergency

c) Students are only allowed to take part in 2 events plus a relay, so those students who won multiple events I will be speaking to in the next few weeks.
