Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

As the school leadership team begins preparation for the 2025 school year, I am thrilled to share some exciting news with our school community. We will be adding a second Deputy Principal to our Leadership Team, with a key focus on enhancing Teaching and Learning. We will begin advertising for this new position in the coming weeks and anticipate making an appointment by the end of this term, ready for the start of the 2025 school year. We look forward to the positive impact this addition will bring to our school!

P & F Casino Night

My sincere thanks to our amazing P&F for a fun filled night last week where we held the Casino night in the school hall.  It was great to get to know parents a little better as well as raise funds for our new senior playground project.

Sex Education & Protective Behaviours

Thank you to the school community for your participation in our recent Sex Education family sessions held last week. We received very positive feedback about our presenter, Sue Pain, as well as the content and her delivery. Sue will now begin the Protective Behaviours sessions starting at school this week.

I have attached the schedule for her visit HERE, as well as her outline for the sessions below.

House Banners

Please see below the new house banners which will be hung up in the hall in the coming weeks.  My thanks to the staff and Year 6 SRC students who assisted with feedback during the design process.  Our next project will be to investigate designs for the new senior playground with the SRC students.  Hopefully I will have a sneak peek of the potential designs for the newsletter next week.

Italian Day

On Wednesday 14th August we will be holding our annual Italian Day festival.  Mrs Bassily our Italian Teacher has been very busy organising a fantastic program for the day, topped off with a special lunch order available from the canteen for the students.

Maths Day

Congratulations to Mrs. Liz lamb who coordinated and hosted a Year 5 Maths day today.  We competed against many other schools and achieved a 2nd place result!  It was a great way to get to know local schools in our area as well as foster some friendly rivalry and competition.

P & F Colour Run Day

Please save the date Friday 1st November

Sports activities during the Olympics

Thanks to Mr Edwards and the Year 6 Sports captains for organising a fun lunchtime table tennis activity this week in the hall.
