Assistant Principal's Report

Dear students, families and carers,

Two weeks into term 4 and programs continue to engage students.  Just yesterday we had 'Risky Kids', an external provider deliver a program to the upper juniors teaching them gross motor skills and safe play skills.  Its about teaching students to make safe decisions while exercising and having fun.  Hearing about all the fun I had to take a look myself, and the students were very engaged.

It was a quiet day onsite yesterday for year 10 students.  Thursday work experience has started and will go for 6 weeks with more than 12 students off site learning work skills suited to their interests and skill level.  It is a great program and it really helps students focus on the future.

The concert is fast approaching - Thursday 26th October.  I have been asked numerous time to watch rehearsals and from what I have seen it is going to be a wonderful night.  If you have not purchased tickets yet there is still time to order them.  (See concert information later in the newsletter).

Finally even though today has been overcast and rainy, it has not dampened our Naranga athletes who as a group of thirteen students are representing our school at an all day swimming carnival.  We can not wait to see how they have gone.
