STATE TENNIS – YEAR 8 GIRLS

Thursday 20th November our Year 8 Girls tennis team made the 5am start to travel to the Glen Waverley Sporting Hub to compete in the SSV State Tennis Champions.

The girls had an amazing day winning all three of their Pool Matches to qualify for the Semi Finals by finishing on top in Pool B.

The Semi was played against Maribyrnong Sports Academy the girls performed amazingly and only just lost the semi to 4 sets 20 games to 2 sets 18 games with the last doubles match going to a sudden death tie break, unfortunately we were not able to take the set.

Congratulation we were very proud of your achievements, very close to being top two in the state, thanks to Sieanna and Adele for coming along to support the girls their advice really helped the girls during all their matches and helped to calm their nerves, also thanks to Piper for coming along with Jason to ensure we were able to provide this amazing opportunity for our team.
