Term 3 Update

It's hard to believe we're already at the end of Week 4 and nearly halfway through the term!

This term, our staff have made a conscious effort to recognise and celebrate students when they demonstrate our school values. As part of this, you may receive a message letting you know that your child has received a positive acknowledgement at school. We hope these messages provide a great opportunity to celebrate your child's achievements and start conversations about the positive moments in their day.

Our goal is to continue building a positive school culture across our students, families and staff, recognising that celebrating the small moments of success can make a big difference.

Parent Opinion Survey

From 17 August, the Parent Opinion Survey will be sent to families. This is a valuable opportunity to provide feedback on your experiences at our school.

We encourage as many families as possible to participate so we receive meaningful data that will help shape our future priorities and school improvement goals. Keep an eye out over the coming weeks for how we may be encouraging participation with a few incentives!

Student-Led Conferences

Thank you to all the families who attended our Student-Led Conferences. Term 3 provides a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's Semester 1 report and celebrate their learning. This year's conferences were particularly important, as written teacher comments were not included in reports due to the recent industrial action.

A reminder that attendance is recorded for these conferences. If you were unable to attend, please contact your child's classroom teacher to arrange an alternative meeting time.

School Council News

School Council met on the evening of Tuesday, 28 July.

We were pleased to welcome our newest parent representative, Hayley Taylor, to School Council. We are still seeking one additional parent representative to join the team. If you would like to have a voice in the future direction of our school and help us achieve our goals, we would love to hear from you.

Chewing Gum

We have noticed an increasing number of students arriving at school with chewing gum. We ask families to please ensure that chewing gum is not brought to school. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Student Teachers and Placements

At ETRPS, we are proud to support the next generation of teachers by welcoming pre-service teachers into our classrooms.

This term, we are pleased to have Miss O in 1/2B, Miss Jeffreys (who many of you may already know) completing her placement in Prep, and Miss B in 3/4B. It is wonderful to see so many aspiring teachers choosing our school to develop their skills, and we know they will gain valuable experience from working alongside our staff and students. Please help us make them feel welcome if you see them around the school.

School Uniform

A friendly reminder that all students are expected to wear full school uniform each day. We understand that during the colder months students like to layer up, however we encourage families to support their children by ensuring any additional clothing worn to school is part of the school uniform.

School jumpers and jackets are available, and if your family requires assistance with purchasing uniform items, please don't hesitate to contact the office. We are always happy to work with families to ensure every student has access to the correct uniform.

Thank you for your continued support. As always, it is a privilege to work alongside our students, staff and families, and I look forward to another positive few weeks as we continue through Term 3.
