Principal's Report

Dear students, families and carers,

I must start by congratulating our Naranga aerobics teams for their achievements at the National Championships in Adelaide last weekend.  Naranga brought home the gold and silver  medals!  Amelie, Nevaeh, Emily and Sophie did an amazing job of representing our school.  Congratulations girls, we are all so proud of you.

During the final four weeks of term we've got some special events planned for our students.  Book Week Dress Up Day will be on 23rd August, this is next week so get those book-related costumes organized!  One of our students' favourite days, Footy Colours Day, will be on 7th September.  The Book Fair will be happening in the library during the week of September 4-8.  This is also our Student Support Group meeting week.  If you are at school for a meeting with your child's teacher, it's a good opportunity to browse through the books at the Book Fair.

CURRICULUM DAY ANNOUNCEMENT

Please note in your calendars that there is a pupil-free Curriculum Day scheduled for Wednesday 6th September.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR A LINK TO THE PARENT/CAREGIVER/GUARDIAN OPINION SURVEY

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents / caregivers / guardians think of our school. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

All families are invited to participate in the survey.  Information on how to access the survey can be obtained from the Office.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open from Monday 7 August to Friday 8 September 2023.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
