Student Reports

Next Wednesday (24th June) parents will be provided access to their child's Semester One report, via COMPASS.

The report provides you with information about your child's achievements against the Victorian Curriculum.

Home - Victorian Curriculum F–10

As previously advised, this semester parents will not receive a general comment, areas of achievement or areas for future learning as a result of the recent industrial action. The report will provide you with information on where your child is on the learning continuum (the levels used to measure learning).

In our reports this is done by providing:

  • a series of dots to indicate your child's level of achievement for each learning area,
  • curriculum statements outlining the learning undertaken during this semester in each learning area,
  • a yellow bar to indicate the 'expected level of achievement' for children in your child's year level for this point in the year (page one),
  • an indication of your child's learning growth (progress) from the last time they were assessed in the curriculum area.

Parents are not offered a formal interview at the end of this semester, this is offered mid semester (end of Terms One and Three). However, parents are encouraged to contact their child's teacher if they would like to discuss anything in the report or do not understand how to read them.
