Dear Parents,
We hope you had a wonderful long weekend! With the cold weather now upon us, it’s a timely reminder for all students to bring a jumper and jacket to school each day, clearly labelled with their name. We aim to have the children enjoy some outdoor playtime daily. However, if the weather is too cold, they will remain indoors during break times for their comfort and safety.
Year 7 Transition to High School
Our Year 6 children had their first full day of transition to Year 7 on Wednesday at both Bathurst High and Kelso High Campuses. The children were very excited about all the different subjects and facilities the high schools have to offer. Well done to our Year 6 children on their participation and behaviour on Wednesday. You were wonderful representatives of our school.
PSSA Western Touch Football Trials
Congratulations to our students who attended the PSSA Western Touch Football Trials on Tuesday. The girls played four games throughout the day, recording one win and demonstrating great teamwork, skill and sportsmanship against strong opposition.
We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school and the effort they displayed throughout the trials.
Girls Touch Football
Congratulations to our Girls Touch Football team on their fantastic 3–1 victory over Cowra Public School today.
The girls displayed great teamwork, determination and skill throughout the match and represented Bathurst Public School with pride.
This win sees the team progress to the Regional Semi-Finals, where they will take on Mudgee.
A big thank you to their coach, Mrs Sarah White, for her support, encouragement and dedication to the team.
Well done, girls, and best of luck for your next game! We are incredibly proud of your efforts.
Upcoming Stage 3 Excursion
Next Wednesday morning, 106 students and 8 staff members will embark on an exciting three-day journey to Canberra. Their itinerary promises a wonderful blend of fun and learning, starting with an educational visit to Parliament House, where they will explore Australia’s unique democratic and electoral systems. The adventure will conclude with a trip to Questacon, sparking curiosity and discovery. We are confident these experiences will create lasting memories for everyone involved. A big thank you to Mr Datt for coordinating this fantastic excursion. We look forward to hearing all the amazing stories!
Spotlight on Attendance
Every school day matters, and every minute helps your child learn. The school day begins at 9:00 am. Arriving on time helps children settle calmly and start learning straight away.
As winter settles in, cold, wet weather has brought an increase in seasonal illnesses. If your child is unwell, please notify us of their absence through the parent portal. For absences of three days or more, a medical certificate is required. Thank you for helping us keep our school community healthy.
If you have any concerns about any aspect of school life, please do not hesitate contact me.
Kate White
Principal
