Junior Campus News

We have had a wonderful start to the school year. It has been fantastic to see our students return with such enthusiasm, positive energy and smiling faces. The Junior School has also welcomed twenty new Foundation students so far, and it has been lovely to see how well they are settling into school life, building relationships and becoming familiar with their new learning environment.
This week we celebrated the beginning of the year with a Welcome BBQ for our families. It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying time together in our beautiful school environment. Our students were incredibly proud to show their families their classrooms and playgrounds, and it was a great opportunity to strengthen our school community and connections between home and school.
Today we are very excited to welcome some Carlton Football Club players to our Junior School. They will be spending time with our students, sharing their AFL skills and engaging with our enthusiastic young footballers. Opportunities like this are wonderful for building confidence, promoting teamwork and inspiring our students through positive role models.
To celebrate the day together, we will also be enjoying a Junior School sausage sizzle for lunch. Sharing lunch as a school is a lovely way to continue building our sense of community and gives students another chance to connect, socialise and enjoy a special experience together.
A reminder that SSG Day is next week. This is an important opportunity for us to meet with families and have meaningful conversations about student progress and goals for the semester. These discussions are incredibly valuable in ensuring we are working together to support each student’s learning, wellbeing and success.
Thank you all for a fantastic start to 2026 at Banmira Junior Campus.
