Dear Parents and Carers,
Parent - Teacher - Student Meetings
Thank you to all of our families for your attendance at our recent meetings. These meetings form an important part of our reporting process, but also a great opportunity to connect with our families and to celebrate the success of our students.
Book Fair and Book Week
The Sacred Heart School community outdid themselves yet again at Book Week. It was great to see so many of our students, families and staff involved in our Book Week parade and assembly. Also a big thank you to our community for supporting the Book Fair, it has raised valuable funds that we are able to use to purchase more books for our students.
P & C Meeting
We recently held a P & C meeting to discuss a variety of CESL and Sacred Heart School events and information. It was fantastic to celebrate with our P & C community group our recent NAPLAN results. Our students had 'strong' results across a majority of the areas for Year 3 and 5 students. This is just one assessment's example of the great progress our students have made in their learning in the past 12 months. This is a credit to our students and our staff who are leading them in their learning.
2027 Enrolments
We have had a significant number of enrolments already roll in for 2027.
We welcome enrolments at all times throughout the year.
We are currently working with CESL to create our budget for 2027, which includes our class structures. Once these are finalised, we will begin to review staffing placements for the upcoming school year.
ORIMA Surveys
Recently our families will have received an email with a link to the ORIMA survey. This is our annual CESL survey that captures feedback from our families, our students (completed at school) and our staff. Families are encouraged to use this opportunity to provide feedback by completing the survey and we thank you for taking the time to do so.
Pupil Free Day - Wednesday 9th of September
I have previously communicated that we had another Pupil Free Day we were yet to communicate to our school community. This will take place on Wednesday the 9th of September and has been shared in the recent weeks. On this day staff from Sacred Heart School and St. Michael's Tallangatta will gather together to participate in Stormbirds training. This training will support our staff in helping our students now and into the future to make sense of what has happened after a natural disaster, such as the recent bushfires. You can read more about the program by visiting this link - Stormbirds | MacKillop Seasons
We look forward to welcoming many of you to our Father's Day breakfast and celebrating all of the father's, grandparents, uncles and special people in our cherubs' lives.
As we approach the end of Term Three we have lots of exciting things to share with you in the coming weeks ahead of Term Four, a camp for our Year 4/5/6 students, camp experiences for our younger students, excursions and lots of learning in between! More information to come in our upcoming newsletters.
