Principal's Address

From the Principal
Welcome back to Term 2 at Moonie State School. It has been a very positive start to the term, with students returning refreshed, focused, and ready for learning. Attendance has been outstanding and is soaring above our targeted average. It has been wonderful to have many days where both classes achieving full attendance.
We have already celebrated some fantastic sporting achievements this term with our Small Schools Cross Country. Congratulations to all our Age Champions and Runner-Up Age Champions on their wonderful performances. We commend all students who participated for demonstrating determination, resilience, and great sportsmanship. We wish the very best of luck to those students who will be representing Moonie State School at the South West Carnival in Chinchilla later this term. We know you will represent our school with pride.
Due to increased enrolments, there will be a small adjustment to our class structures this term. While students will remain in their familiar classrooms, there will be some occasions where they will be instructed in a different learning space to best support teaching and learning across the school. A letter outlining these changes in more detail will be sent home to families.
Kind regards
Mrs Anna Jones
