Hello families, and carers

And just like that… Term 1 is DONE!

What a fantastic start to the year it has been. We’ve seen lots of learning, growing, smiling, and settling into routines across the school. Our students have done an incredible job, and it’s been a joy to watch them build confidence and connections each day. A huge thank you to our amazing staff for their dedication and care, and to our families for your ongoing support and partnership. It truly makes our school such a special place.

Last week we came together to celebrate Harmony Day, a special day that recognises diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Students and staff enjoyed engaging activities, shared smiles, and proudly showed that everyone belongs at our school. It was wonderful to see our community celebrating what makes us unique and the things that bring us together.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have also had a very exciting visit at school when the local fire truck came to see our students! Students loved exploring the truck, meeting the firefighters, and learning about how they help keep our community safe. There were lots of smiles, questions, and excitement as lights, equipment, and uniforms were checked out up close. What a memorable experience!

I would also like to thank our families and carers for your understanding and support during the recent AEU stop work action. We appreciate your cooperation and the thoughtful way you supported our school during this time. Your partnership and flexibility are appreciated.

Looking ahead to Term 2, there will be a small number of staffing changes as some staff take leave and others return. These changes are planned and well supported and learning and care for students will continue as usual. Families of any classes affected will be contacted directly with further information.

I would like to take this opportunity in wishing everyone a safe, happy, and restful break. Enjoy the time to relax, recharge, and have some fun. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for Term 2!
