District Cross Country

On Tuesday, our St Brigid's Cross Country Team headed off to Karkarook Park for the District Cross Country Day. We had amazing results on the day, with 5 students making it through to the next round.

Congratulations to Harry S, Isla S, Islah S, Daphne F and Christina H. We wish these 5 students luck for the Division Cross Country on the 28th of May. Overall, we placed 9th and came first for the handicap.

We are very proud of all the students who ran on Tuesday and represented St Brigid's so well.

Junior Mayor

On Thursday 8th of May some Year Six’s (Christina, Josh, Charlotte, Luke, Gemma and Blake) went to audition to be Junior Mayor. They went to the Town Hall by train and watched other schools talk about inclusion and did their very own presentation as well. Every school prepared a two minute speech that took up the majority of the day.

Schools had to pick 4 students that they think are responsible and can present in front of a big audience and one to be the electorate of our school (Luke). We had two extra people helping on the speech and they guided the head speaker to either slow down, speed up or speak more clearly. Our school wasn't chosen but we still had a great time and it was an amazing experience.
