NAPLAN Results 2026

We're delighted to share the results of this year's NAPLAN testing, which highlight the wonderful progress our Year 3 and Year 5 students are making.

Year 3 Highlights

Our Year 3 students performed exceptionally well, with 100% of students achieving at a strong or exceeding proficiency. Reading (85%) and Spelling (85%) also remained very strong, comfortably ahead of similar and network schools. While Numeracy and Grammar/Punctuation saw a slight dip compared to last year's exceptional results, our students are still performing well above the average for comparable schools.

Year 5 Highlights

Our Year 5 cohort continued to shine, particularly in Numeracy (88%) and Spelling (88%) — both showing excellent improvement over recent years and well ahead of similar and network schools. Writing (83%) and Grammar/Punctuation (79%) also remain strong areas of achievement.

How We Compare

Across almost every domain and year level, Baxter Primary students are performing above both similar schools and our broader school network, a great reflection of the hard work happening in our classrooms every day.

Looking Forward

We'll continue to build on this momentum, with a particular focus on supporting growth in Reading for our Year 5 students in the year ahead. Thank you to our teachers, students and families for your continued dedication to learning.hese results are a credit to the whole school community.

We acknowledge the Bunurong people, the Traditional

Owners of the land on which Baxter Primary School resides, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
