On Friday 24th of July, a team of Grade 4 girls competed at Mentone Girls’ Grammar in a Maths Challenge Day. Zoe O, Zoe J, Annabel and Julia all enjoyed the day and represented our school with pride. It was a day that not only focused on Maths concepts but on teamwork as well. Congratulations to the girls for placing 2nd on the day! They will now have the opportunity to compete in a finals day later in the year.

Primary School Wear: price increases

Effective October 1st 2026, PSW will be implementing a 3% increase across their uniform range.

"This decision has not been made lightly. Ongoing political instability in the Middle East has significantly increased international shipping and freight costs, alongside continued pressure from rising labour costs and unfavourable exchange rates. While these combined cost increases have been substantial, we are only passing on a small percentage of them to our school communities.

Our focus remains steadfast on ensuring affordability and quality for families, and this approach has allowed us to offer consistent value despite difficult external economic challenges.

We remain committed to delivering quality uniforms for your school community that reflect both durability and value.

Please rest assured that this price adjustment is necessary to sustain our high standards and continued service excellence"

H5 Bird Flu: info from the Department of Education

Cases of H5 bird flu have been confirmed in birds across Australia, including in south-west Victoria.

Our school has steps to follow if sick or dead birds are found at or near our school.

If you see a sick or dead bird at or near the school, please let us know. If you find a sick or dead bird in the community, the advice from the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is to:

  1. avoid contact and keep your distance

  2. record date, time, location and take photos

  3. report it to using an online form or through the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline: 1800 675 888.

For current information about reporting, refer to DEECA’s H5 bird flu page.

For more information, you can check out these bird flu resources from the Australian Government.
