Years 3 - 5

To round out a fantastic term, students have been actively engaged in a range of hands-on learning experiences across different subjects.
In Mathematics, we consolidated and reviewed key concepts explored throughout the term, strengthening students’ understanding and confidence in applying their skills.
In Science, students investigated how combining different substances can create new materials with unique properties. This was brought to life through a fun and engaging slime experiment, where students mixed PVA glue, water, bi-carb soda and contact solution. To personalise their creations, they added food colouring, glitter and sequins, making the learning both meaningful and memorable.
In Indonesian, students learnt the names of different fruits and practised saying some of their favourites. As part of this, they enjoyed a creative task where their teacher transformed their chosen fruits into fun and imaginative hybrid fruits.
To finish the term, students participated in a rotation of arcade-style games. These activities provided valuable opportunities to practise positive social skills, including cooperation, turn-taking and following agreed rules. It was wonderful to see students building and maintaining positive relationships through these shared experiences.
We would also like to extend a very warm welcome to Anderson Russell. Anderson has spent a few days with us over the past two weeks to become familiar with our school, and it has been lovely getting to know him. We look forward to officially welcoming Anderson into our class next term.
I hope everyone enjoys a safe and relaxing holiday break and returns feeling refreshed, ready for another exciting term of learning and new experiences.
