News from Foundation 

Welcome back to Term 4!! WOW, we cannot believe how quickly the weeks are going! The Foundation students have settled back into the classroom like absolute champions! In just a few days, we have seen the most amazing work ethic and responsibility!

Handwriting

This week we have been doing lots of practice of letters, including Capital Letters! We have been practicing using our pencil grip carefully to make all sit correctly on the lines! We use the cat stamp to help us remember if letters have a head, body or tail.

Sentence Writing

This Term, we will be practicing writing and learning lots about sentences! This week, we have been using pictures to think of a sentence that we could write to match them. Here are our amazing sentences.

Headband Words

This week, to revise all the sounds we know, we used the game headbands to sound out words to each other and write them on whiteboards. We had to work together to tell our partner the sounds whilst the other partner put the word together. It was lots of fun!

Maths

In the classroom, we have been doing lots of hands-on tasks and games to help with our learning of numbers! This fun game was practicing recognising how many objects were on the card. 

In Maths this week we are learning about Data. This week we have been comparing data. Here is some data comparisons we have made between two collections of objects.
