News from Year Three

Welcome back to Term 4!
We have a busy and exciting term ahead! In Weeks 3 and 4, students will be taking part in swimming lessons. We will also be finishing our stop-motion animation projects. As we move toward the middle of the term, students will begin their final assessments in preparation for report writing. We’re working hard to finish Year 3 strong, with a big focus on learning, staying engaged, and giving our best right through to the end of the year!
Term 4 Vision Board
At the end of last term, the Year 3s created a vision board for Term 4. Come up to the classroom to have a read if you like, we were very impressed with the maturity and thought the students put into their vision boards!
Maria Ruberto at St Joseph's
Join us for Maria’s final session at St Joseph’s on Tuesday, 14th October from 5–6pm in the SPA Centre. Even if you haven’t been able to attend the previous sessions, we’d love to see you there! Child minding will be available on the night.
Hats!
A friendly reminder that hats are required again for Term 4. Please make sure your child brings their hat to school. If your child’s hat has gone missing, just send a quick note to school to let us know. All uniform items, including hats, can be purchased from LOWES in Lilydale.
Homework
Year 3 will continue to have spelling homework this term. It’s been wonderful to see so many students completing some or all of their spelling activities each week! Regular reading at home is also strongly encouraged, and we’ll be continuing to practise our 3 and 4 times tables throughout the term.
