MANDARIN

In Mandarin, Foundation students are learning about family. They have learned to say the names of some family members using hand gestures. They’ve also used Kids Learn Mandarin App to consolidate their learning.

PERFORMING ARTS

In Performing Arts, the Year 1 students have choreographed their own dances to the music track 'Catgroove', inspired by movements of cats to suit the theme of the music.

SCIENCE

In Science, Year 3 and 4 students have investigated what happens to different materials when they are heated and cooled, looking at how this causes some materials to change state while others remain the same. Students have enjoyed exploring samples of solid and liquid materials and seeing how adding and removing heat can cause these materials to change from solid to liquid and vice versa.

VISUAL ARTS

In Visual Arts, Year 3 and 4 students are learning about landscapes including compositional features such as horizon line, foreground, middle ground and background. They are also improving their paintbrushing technique and their understanding of how colour works.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

On PE, Year 5 and 6 students have consolidated their basketball skills with a  fantastic day at Hooptime. See the Sports News page for photos.
