Our Year 5/6 students, teachers, and parent volunteers have been having a fantastic time at camp this week. They’ve been busy exploring key landmarks in our nation's capital city. Highlights of their trip include visiting Parliament House and today’s excursion to the War Memorial. In addition to these significant educational experiences, they’ve also enjoyed some fun outings, including a trip to Questacon, the Australian Institute of Sport and even a bowling night!
I would like to extend my thanks to our Year 5/6 teachers and the parent helpers who have dedicated their time and care to ensure the students had a safe and enriching experience. Their commitment, including the time spent away from their own families, has made this amazing camp opportunity possible for our students. We truly appreciate their support and dedication, and we are fortunate to have such a wonderful staff and community and POPS.
Next week, two special events have been organised by Mrs Berardini and the PA to celebrate and acknowledge the fathers or special people in our lives. On Monday, there will be a stall where students can purchase gifts. Please ensure your child brings some money and a bag to carry their purchases.
On Friday, we will be hosting a breakfast event. Please make sure to book tickets via the Events Tab on My School Connect to assist with catering. Bookings close Sunday August 25. Similar to the Mother’s/Special Person Breakfast earlier this year, guests are welcome to visit their child’s classroom between 8:40 and 9:00 a.m.
For more information please visit the PA page.
Don't forget to visit the From the Classroom page to find out what our students are doing in Specialist classes.
Have a great weekend,
Ms Garrity
