Cycling to and from School

Members of the public and business owners in the main street have expressed concern that high school aged students are riding on the footpath, very quickly in some instances on e-scooters and e-bikes. Very concerned for collisions with pedestrians and people leaving shops etc.

If you are unsure of the Vic Education cycling to school policy, click here to read it.

  • “Parents or carers are responsible for their children travelling to and from school. This includes all forms of travel to get to school.”

  • And “Children aged 12 years or older are required by law to ride on the road.”

It is preferred for students to use the bike track through the Goodwin Village when appropriate to do so, being mindful of residents and other pedestrians on the track and taking extra care when exiting the track onto the road at the back of the mall.

Yellow Envelopes

All students have received yellow envelopes containing information and consent forms. These need to be returned to school ASAP, as they are now overdue. Also, may have included any reports and certificates not collected at Awards Night. Could the Emergency Contact Forms please be returned even if there are no changes needed to be made.

Thank you to the families who have already returned their forms.

If you have any questions, please contact the office on 54971205.
