Principal's update
Hello everyone,
Here is our fifth fortnightly newsletter for the year as we end week nine of the term. This will be the final newsletter for the term. A reminder that term one conludes at 2.00pm on Thursday 2nd of March.
Term two commences Monday 20 April.
Parents and Friends Group
Our wonderful Parents and Friends Group held their first formal meeting on Tuesday morning over a cup of tea and biscuits. The first meeting of the year includes a short AGM and the election of formal office bearers. For 2025 the P&F President is Eve, Treasurer Kate, Secretary Ali. We also welcomed new and returning members to the group. The P&F group has been a wonderful support for the school, organsiing fundraising activities, working bees, family barbecues to name a few. The P&F group has a dedicated page on the newsletter with regular updates as well as a WhatsApp group. The school welcomes parent ideas for school improvements or activities that will benefit the school. If you have any ideas, please share them with the P&F group. If you would like to join the P&F group, have a chat with Eve or Chris.
Bulb Fundraiser
Funds raised from this year's bulb fundraiser will be used to purchased addtional phonics readers for the junior students to read at home.
The Parents and Friends group have decided to use funds from this year’s bulb fundraiser to buy them - our target is $500. Please help us get there by supporting or sharing!

Breakfast Club
A reminder that we would love to have more volunteers help us to offer Breakfast club each day at school.
Taradale PS participates in the Breakfast Club programme operated by Food Bank Victoria. This provides the school with a range of food at no cost to provide to students for breakfast and other meals if needed. All students are eligible and welcome to attend the Breakfast Club, however we need parent or community volunteers to offer the service between 8.30 and 9.00. If you would like to assist or know more, please contact the school office.
OSHC
