Child Safe Standard 4
As we continue our commitment to being a child safe community, we look at CSS 4: Family and Community Engagement. This standard recognises that child safety is most effective when it is a shared responsibility between staff, families, and the wider community. Don't forget that all our child safety policies are on our website. And, if you've got any further ideas to help us promote child safety, we'd love to hear them!

Athletics
What a fabulous day we had last Wednesday for our annual Athletics Carnival! The weather was perfect, the children were energetic, enthusiastic and happy, and their behaviour was superb. Thank you to Andrea for her terrific planning, and all other staff who contributed in a variety of ways. We also recognise parents who gave their time to volunteer and those who came along to support the children on the day.
Parent Volunteers
To participate as a volunteer in child related activities you need a current Working with Children Check and to complete our Volunteers' training. The first session will be held on Wednesday at 2:45pm in the staffroom.
Celebrating our Graduate Teachers
We are incredibly proud of our Graduate Teachers; Ava, Emma and Tom. Recently, I attended a Mass in honour of our Graduates and following Mass, they participated in Professional Learning as a graduate cohort. We acknowledge their hard work, fresh perspectives and energy, and thank them for all they bring to Holy Rosary.
Building
The HR building works are a step closer. A short list of successful tenders has been released and the process has begun for the selection of the successful company. This should be finalised by the end of the term. Then we can look forward to roof restoration works, additional drainage, reworked banisters to our senior areas, a reconstructed gate and repairs to the turf.
Foundation (Prep) 2027
Enrolments for Foundation 2027 are now open and we are well into school tour season. If you are yet to enrol I strongly urge you to make this a priority this week. At this time we can confirm that we will have two Foundation classes in 2027.
Mother's Day Breakfast
We welcome all mothers and mother figures to join us on Friday morning. We may need to rug up a little as the forecast is for chilly weather.
