Reminders

Today is Do It For Dolly Day
Today, St Augustine's is going blue for Do It for Dolly Day, a national campaign in memory of Dolly Everett, raising awareness of bullying and the importance of kindness. You may have spotted our blue Dolly butterflies popping up around the school recently.
This week our senior students have been running activities for staff and students including daily SIMON messages of kindness, guess the lolly competitions and a kindness wall.
Members of our community are wearing a touch of blue today to recognise Do It For Dolly Day.
Scoops of Kindness
On Tuesday, our students and staff enjoyed a sweet treat thanks to Bulla as part of their Scoops of Kindness community tour in recognition of Dolly.
We thank Bulla Family Dairy for their generous support and helping us share the message of kindness and looking out for one another in our community.
Bullying Help and Support is available at Dolly's Dream:

Please ensure students arrive at school between 8.30 and 8.45am and arrange for pick up before 3.30pm.
Please note that no supervision is available prior to 8.15am and students should not be arriving to school prior to this time. We thank you for your understanding and efforts in this space.
Uniform Expectations
The Uniform Guide is available via the College website. Students are expected to wear full academic uniform each day unless they have timetabled PE or Sport.
If your child is out of uniform on any day, please provide a note (or email) to their TA explaining the reason and indicating the date your child will return in full uniform.
Personal Digital Devices
If you need to contact your child, please do so via the College Office, as students should not be using their devices whilst they are at school.

General Achievement Test (GAT) – Tuesday 16th June
All students enrolled in a VCE or VCEVM Unit 3 and/or Unit 4 subject are required to sit the General Achievement Test (GAT) on Tuesday 16th June.
The GAT is an important part of the VCE assessment process. While it does not directly contribute to a student’s study score, it plays a key role in:
Checking that school-based and external assessments are accurate and fair
Calculating Derived Examination Scores if a student is unable to complete an exam due to illness or other approved circumstances
Assisting in the statistical moderation of school-assessed coursework
On the day:
- Students must arrive at school by 8.30am in casual clothes
- The GAT will run for most of the day, with scheduled breaks
- Students should bring pens, pencils, erasers and a clear water bottle
- An English and/or bilingual printed dictionary
- One scientific calculator
Attendance is compulsory
If your child is unwell or unable to attend, please notify the school as soon as possible and provide appropriate medical documentation.
We encourage students to approach the GAT seriously and to do their best, as it can be used to support their final results if needed.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr Brad Downie or Mrs Sharon Darling.
Further information will be provided to students and families in coming weeks.
