PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Lindy Burke

It’s hard to believe Term 1 is nearly over! We have so much to celebrate, from the opening of our impressive new Barry Street toilets to the ongoing progress at the Sutton Street end, which is on track for completion in June. Our Grade 3 and Grade 5 students have successfully completed the 2026 NAPLAN tests, and with calm, settled classrooms, there has been a fantastic amount of learning taking place across the school.

Today, we held our final assembly for the term, celebrating our last Student of the Week recipients and Term 1 Terrific Kids award winners. It was a wonderful way to acknowledge student achievements and finish the term on a high note.

A reminder that the last day of Term 1 is Thursday 2nd April, with early dismissal at 1:25pm. Students are invited to wear Easter-themed casual clothes on the day, with a gold coin donation to support the Good Friday Appeal. Our “Guess How Many Treats Are in the Easter Chick” competition is also underway - $1 per guess. The school captains will visit classrooms each day for students who wish to enter. The winner will be announced during our Easter Hat Parade, which will take place under the swelter shelter from 12:50pm to round out the term.

Wishing everyone a restful weekend!
