Dear parents and carers,
Happy New Year! I trust you had a restful and enjoyable break over the Christmas and New Year season, and that your children are feeling refreshed as we look ahead to the school year.
I know I speak on behalf of our whole Chevalier staff when I say how much we are looking forward to welcoming students back on site. The start of the school year has a uniquely special energy to it, as we welcome a whole new cohort of 212 Year 7 students fuelled by confidence and nerves in equal measure, many older new students who are joining our community from other schools, and of course we reunite with friends we have not seen for several weeks.
As we prepare to leap into the 2025 school year, I ask that you please read the essential practical and logistical information provided below. Of particular importance are the plans and timetable days for the first 2 weeks of school; please support your children in making sure both you and they are across these details, in order to give them the best chance of starting the year on the front foot.
I wish you all the very best for the upcoming Australia Day weekend, and look forward to seeing many happy faces next week.
With best wishes,
Greg Miller
Principal
