Golden Square Students Leap Into Gymnastics Success

Over the past five weeks, students from Prep to Grade 4 have thoroughly enjoyed participating in a gymnastics program delivered by Summersault Bendigo.
Held over the first five Thursdays of the term, the program provided students with the opportunity to develop their fundamental movement skills while experiencing a wide range of gymnastics apparatus and activities. Students rotated through sessions involving the beam, rings, parallel bars, trampoline, and floor exercises, building their confidence, coordination, balance and strength along the way.
The program was a tremendous success, with students eagerly embracing every challenge and demonstrating a willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Whether mastering a new skill on the trampoline or learning to balance on the beam, students consistently displayed enthusiasm and determination.
Just as impressive as their skill development was the way students represented our school values of Safety, Respect and Learning. Students listened carefully to instructions, used equipment safely, encouraged their peers and treated coaches and classmates with respect. Most importantly, they all had a go, showing a positive attitude towards learning and developing new skills.
A big thank you to the coaches from Summersault Bendigo for providing such an engaging and enjoyable program. It was wonderful to see our students learning, growing in confidence and having so much fun through gymnastics.
