From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 3, Week 6
Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,
Book Week and Book Fair
Thank you all who came to celebrate Book Week with us last Friday and visited our Book Fair. All students and staff looked amazing in their book week costumes. To see all of the photo's head over to our Book Week Tab in this newsletter.
Behaviour Focus
This week we again are focusing on being Respectful:
We are learning to:
Work independently and be responsible for our own learning
We know we are successful when we:
Stay focused on your own work
Don't disturb the learning of others
Stay in your own lane
Listen to instructions the first time

Home reading is encouraged at Werris Creek Public School. Just 10 minutes per night can make a difference. To encourage our students to read at home, we offer some great incentives. See the image below with our incentive program. If you would like some tips on encouraging your child to read, please see their classroom teacher.

Attendance Matters
Congratulations to the 17 students who are part of our 100% Club. These students have attended school 100% of the time in Term 3.

We have 36 Students in total attending 90% or above. Keep up the good work as attendance matters.

If your child is to be absent from school for any reason, please ensure you contact the school office to advise or reply to the SMS message that is sent on the day of absence. It is important that we notify the department the reason your child is not attending school.
Father's Day Breakfast & Stall
On Friday, 4th September we invite our Fathers/Male Caregivers to attend a breakfast bacon and egg rolls with your child to celebrate Father's Day. Our P&C will be holding a Father's Day stall during the day for students to purchase a gift for their Father/Grandfather/Male Caregiver. An invitation for the breakfast was sent home last week, and we ask that it be returned to the school ASAP for catering purposes. Please note that we ask that only one adult per family attend. Order forms for the Father's Day stall were also sent home last week. If you did not receive these notes, please contact the school office.
Kind regards
Kathy Nott
