Dear Families,

It’s not long until the end of term and the days are flying by!

Library and STEM Fund

We are excited to announce that we have nice new seating and storage in the library paid for via family contributions to the Library Fund. This space will allow for a whole class to sit down and enjoy a story. We have also ordered more decodable readers for our Foundation, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students to borrow for home. In addition, through the STEM Fund, we have upgraded our STEM iPads and a quick charge station so students can learn coding. Thank you so much for all your support!

University of Melbourne visitors

This week we have some visitors from the University of Melbourne joining us to participate in a study exploring how outdoor school playgrounds can best support children’s wellbeing, play experiences, connection to nature and academic engagement. We look forward to hearing from the students and their thoughts and feelings about the school.

Digital Policy

This term senior educators have been briefed regarding digital use and screen time in schools. It is a timely reminder for families to review digital settings and child use as well. The eSafety commissioner website has some excellent resources and advice for families; especially, as they are moving into secondary school next year.

Gaga Ball

The Gaga Pit has been a huge success! Just a reminder that if your child is using this afterschool for a family member to be supervising the space.
