THE LITTLE MERMAID - CELEBRATION OF PERFORMING ARTS

What an incredible way to bring the performing arts back to Warrnambool Primary School! Our production of The Little Mermaid was a spectacular celebration of the talent, creativity and teamwork that exists across our school community.

On Wednesday, more than 900 people attended our two concerts, filling the audience with an amazing atmosphere as our students took to the stage. From singing and dancing to acting and costume design, our students were simply fantastic. Their confidence, enthusiasm and commitment was wonderful to see.

One of the most exciting things about this production was seeing the broad range of talent across our school. Students from different year levels came together, supported one another and had the opportunity to shine. It was a wonderful reminder of just how much creativity and performing talent we have within our school.

A huge thank you goes to our Concert Sub-Committee – April Sandri, Zade Matheson, Sam Webster, Tim Bourke, Patrick Kluver, Cherine Owen, Charlotte Johns, Michelle Rea, Donna Dix and Steph Hann – for the enormous amount of work, organisation and commitment that went into bringing The Little Mermaid to life.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all staff who participated in costume making, rehearsals, singing, dancing and supporting students throughout the production. There were countless hours of preparation behind the scenes, and your dedication made the concerts possible.

To our parents and families, thank you for your wonderful support. From attending the concerts to helping with costumes and encouraging our students throughout the process, your involvement made such a difference. A production of this scale truly takes a whole community.

Most importantly, congratulations to all of our students. You embraced the challenge, worked together, performed with confidence and showed us what can happen when we create opportunities for every student to participate and shine.

The Little Mermaid has been much more than a school production. It has been a team effort, a celebration of talent and a wonderful first step in bringing performing arts back to Warrnambool Primary School.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making it such a memorable experience.

Well done, Warrnambool Primary School – what a fantastic team effort!

SUPRISE DISCO!

What a fantastic surprise for our students today! Our Specialist Teachers organised a surprise disco, giving everyone the chance to let loose, dance and have some fun.

Students had an absolute ball showing off their best dance moves and enjoying the unexpected celebration with their friends. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and some impressive moves on the dance floor!

A special mention must go to our Specialist Teachers, who definitely got into the spirit of the occasion and looked the part in their fabulous disco outfits!

PARENT SURVEY - WE NEED YOUR VOICE!

We are asking our wonderful families to take a little time to complete our Parent Survey.

We have distributed 180 surveys to families and are aiming for a minimum of 80 responses. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us understand what we are doing well and where we can continue to improve.

If you have received the survey link, please take the time to complete it. We are hoping it will take no longer than 20 minutes to complete, and every response makes a difference.

Help Us Reach 80!

There is a little extra motivation for our classes! If we reach our minimum target of 80 completed surveys, we will organise a shared lunch for our classes to celebrate!

So, if you have received the link, please set aside some time to have your say.

Every student, except our newest students, have created an artwork for the exhibition, making this a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the creativity and talent of our school community.

Families are invited to view their child’s artwork at the exhibition from 22nd August through to 18th October.

We encourage families to take the time to visit, celebrate your child’s creativity and enjoy the wonderful collection of student artwork on display.
